Joey King Regrets Jacob Elordi Calls The Kissing Booth's Trilogy Ridiculous

JAKARTA - Jacob Elordi's statement regarding the trilogy of The Kissing Booth which he played drew controversy. Even though the trilogy is Elordi's first point in film that led him to become the popular actor he is today.

"Films are ridiculous. They are not universal. They are fugitives," Jacob Elordi said of The Kissing Booth quoting GQ.

He even called the trilogy a trap because it seemed 'dead' with the idea in the film. The Kissing Booth is a romance film that tells of the friendship of two people who are in danger of ending because the woman likes her friend.

First released in 2018, the film was ranked first on Netflix until the third part.

"You don't have originality and you die inside," said Elordi.

Joey King, co-star and former lover of Jacob Elordi in the film The Kissing Booth regretted Elordi's statement.

"I think it's a shame someone thinks that way," Joey King quoted Variety as saying.

"I enjoy the time when making the film, I don't know what other people think," he continued.

Joey King also denied that later he would be invited to star in his fourth film. According to him, to see his character develop is a satisfaction in itself.

"If there is a fourth series, this film will show Elle and her friends who are fifty or older, just stop by to come back with them and see where they are," he said.

Selain King, aktor The Kissing Booth lainnya - Taylor Zakhar Perez juga menyampaikan pendapat serupa, Menurutnya, ia melihat semua orang dan kru menikmati waktu saat mereka syuting The Kissing Booth.

"I think it's embarrassing because, to my knowledge, everyone has an amazing experience. It's a shame the experience on set. Especially when those films come out, it's a time when we really need something like that," said Perez.

"I think the lesson is that he still makes people laugh and feel happy," continued Perez.
