1,247 Residents Of Dombu NTB Submerged By Floods Of 2 Rivers Due To Heavy Rain
NTB - The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) recorded that 1,247 residents of Dompu in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) were affected by flash floods due to recent high-intensity rains.
"Temporary data on 1,247 residents affected by the flood," said Head of BPBD Dompu Tajudin, in Mataram, NTB, Tuesday, December 5, confiscated by Antara.
He said the flash floods due to heavy rains from Monday, December 4 afternoon until evening, caused the river water in Dompu and Woja sub-districts to overflow and inundate residents' houses around the river.
"Residents affected by the flood are spread across nine villages or in two sub-districts," he said.
The nine affected villages, namely Kareke Village, there are 10 residents, Potu Village 55 residents, Bada Village 90 residents, Bali Village One there are 77 residents and Karijawa Village as many as 108 residents for Dompu District.
Meanwhile, in Woja District, namely Kanda Dua Village, there are 525 residents, 155 residents in Wawanduru Village, 187 residents in Simpasai Village, and 35 residents in Baka Jaya Village.
"Since last night the victim has been evacuated to anticipate further flooding," he said.

His party has also dispatched officers assisted by the joint TNI-Polri apparatus to help residents affected by the flood. In addition, emergency logistical assistance for affected residents has been distributed in stages.
"Officers are still collecting data on the impact of the flood. The water condition has receded," he said.
