Dismissing The Government's Assumption Now Like An New Order, Bahlil: I'm A Villager, It's Impossible To Be A Minister
Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Pillars 08 Prabowo-Gibran, Bahlil Lahadalia, did not agree with the statement of PDI-P General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri who considered the current government to be like the New Order or New Order era.
According to him, since reform until President Joko Widodo's administration for two 2014-2023 periods, the highest number of ministers came from government-supporting parties. Therefore, he continued, statements about the New Order contradicted because there was no full control of the cabinet so far from one group.
"These ministers come from PDIP, Golkar, Nasdem, PKB and PPP. So who is the real New Order?" Bahlil said in his statement on Tuesday, December 5.
Bahlil then mentioned that if he was still in the New Order era, then he would not become a minister like he is now. The reason is that the Minister of Investment and politician from the Golkar Party admitted that he was not from the ruling circle but from the village.
"Ladies and gentlemen, don't forget, in the New Order era, people like me don't necessarily become ministers because they come from the village. In the decision content of the Constitutional Court, our election law, for presidential candidates actually have to be undergraduate. But then it is revised for high school, nothing is noisy. That's all democracy. Why now we have to question this issue?" said Bahlil.

Bahlil then invited Prabowo-Gibran supporters not to care about any party, including the presidential and vice-presidential candidates who offended the Prabowo-Gibran camp. He considered that angry parties are usually those who panic and will lose.
"Ladies and gentlemen, if there is a presidential or vice presidential candidate that offends us, we shouldn't take it seriously. We are happy and relaxed. Usually, those who want to lose innate panic and get angry are usually angry and those who win smile," Bahlil asked the Prabowo-Gibran supporters.
Previously, PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri admitted that she was annoyed by the current attitude of the authorities who according to her wanted to act like the New Order era.
"Mother shouldn't be able to say that but I'm annoyed. Because this republic is full of sacrifices, do you know. Why now are you people who want to act in the New Order era?" Megawati said at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta, Monday 27 November.
