President Jokowi Appoints Martinus Hukom As Head Of BNN

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo appointed Inspector General Martinus Hukom as Head of the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) replacing Komjen Petrus Golose who entered retirement.

Presidential Special Staff Coordinator Ari Dwipayana said the appointment of Martinus Hukom and the dismissal of Petrus Golose was stated in Presidential Decree No. 182/TPA of 2023.

"Mr. President has signed the Presidential Decree for the dismissal of Mr. Petrus Golose as Head of BNN, and the appointment of Mr. Inspector General of Police. Martinus Hukom as the new Head of BNN," Ari said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, December 4.

Ari said Mr. Petrus Golose retired on December 1, 2023. Presidential Decree for the dismissal of Petrus and the appointment of Martinus Hukom was signed on November 29, 2023.

Martinus Hukom was previously the Head of Special Detachment 88. He has served since May 1, 2020.

Martinus Hukom is one of the National Police officers who carried out an operation to arrest Bali terrorist Ali Imron.
