Viral 100 Motorbikes Left Behind For Years In The Parking Lot Of Ngurah Rai Airport

A viral video of a row of dusty motorbikes was left in the parking lot of Bali's I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport.

Temporary Replacement (Pgs) General Manager of PT Angkasa Pura (AP) I Ngurah Rai International Airport, Iwan Novi explained that the motorcycle parking location in the viral video was on the third floor in a two-wheeled parking lot.

"The number of motorcycles that the owner has not taken as of October, according to our records, there are 100 two-wheeled motorized vehicles that have not been taken by the owner. The periods vary, from 7 years to 3 months (it has been parked at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport)," he said, Monday, December 4.

According to the time period of the two-wheeled vehicle left by the owner, the highest parking fee is the vehicle that entered on July 5, 2016. Estimated parking costs of IDR 74 million.

Basically, the parking service mechanism at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport does not allow the owner of the motorized vehicle. However, his party has sought cooperation with the authorized agency to find out the ownership of the motorized vehicle.

"Currently we have an MoU with the Bali High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati), with instructions and directions from the Bali Civil & Prosecutor's Office Team, we are currently reviewing the right mechanism for handling the abandoned two-wheeled motorized vehicle," he said.

"Through this opportunity, we ask for help in conveying to those who feel they have a motorbike that has not been taken at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, they can contact the parking management, namely Angkasa Pura Support," he said.
