FIFA U-17 World Cup 2023 Completed, Indonesia Gets Praise From FIFA President
JAKARTA - FIFA President, Gianni Infantino, did not hesitate to praise Indonesia. This is related to the success of holding the FIFA U-17 World Cup 2023 from November 10-2 December 2023.
At the most prestigious age group event, Germany U-17 came out as champions. This certainty was obtained after defeating France U-17 in the final at Manahan Stadium, Solo, Saturday, December 2, 2023.
Infantino witnessed the German U-17 vs France U-17 duel accompanied by PSSI General Chair Erick Thohir. Infantino who came immediately seemed to really enjoy the dramatic final match.
Citing the official FIFA website, Infantino then praised Indonesia as the host of the FIFA U-17 World Cup 2023.
The 53-year-old man said that Indonesia had given an extraordinary impression and the friendliness of two local residents.
"Indonesia has become a great host, giving us a warm and beautiful welcome that is second to none."
"We have more than 1,000 volunteers and a large number of spectators attending the stadium, nearly half a million people coming to the game," Infantino said as quoted Monday, December 4, 2023.
What surprised us all was the way we were welcomed in this country, a beautiful country that welcomed the world. So, thank you profusely to Indonesia. Thank you," Infantino added.
