Amir Khan And Manny Pacquiao Set A Duel Next Year
JAKARTA Former British boxer Amir Khan revealed there is a chance he is ready to go down the mountain to fight Filipino boxing legend Manny Pacquiao next year.
The duel against Pacquiao was one of Khan's dreams throughout his career. However, that fight never materialized until Khan decided to retire in May 2023.
Amir said that now the duel against the Filipino legend is open. The plan, if there are no obstacles, they will fight in Abu Dhabi.
"Look, it's a difficult thing because you're going to get a lot of different things. There's an interest, Manny's team wants it, Saudi (Arabi) wants to fight in Abu Dhabi. It's going to be a huge (duel)," Amir told iFL TV, quoted by Boxing Social.
Amir said that he was ready to fight next year. If there is a delay, there is a possibility that this duel will never materialize.
"I've been waiting a very long time. The reason I said I agreed to a fight was because I had waited so long. This is the fight I've always wanted, he's a sports legend," he said.
