Jay Idzes And Nathan Tjoa Naturalization Process Approved By Commission X DPR RI

JAKARTA - The naturalization process for footballers Jay Idzes and Nathan Tjoa A On received approval from Commission X of the DPR RI. This good news was decided at the Commission X Working Meeting which was held Monday, December 4, 2023.

"Commission X DPR RI approved the recommendation of Indonesian citizenship on behalf of Jay Noah Idzes and Nathan Noel Romejo Tjoe-A-On," said the chairman of the trial, Hetifah Sjaifudian, in a live broadcast of the Working Meeting quoted Monday, December 4, 2023.

After it is approved, then the naturalization process for the two footballers will be continued to the competent authorities and in accordance with applicable regulations.

"With a note that the determination of Indonesian citizenship is determined by the competent agency based on the provisions of the legislation," continued Hetifah.

The working meeting of Commission X of the DPR RI which discussed naturalization, the two players could not attend. Jay and Nathan were absent from this agenda because they were still involved with their respective clubs.

Even without the presence of two naturalized candidates, Commission X of the DPR RI held a meeting smoothly and decided to approve the transfer of citizenship. This is based on a letter of recommendation from the President of the Republic of Indonesia.

Have discussed the entry letter from the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo with the number R60/Pre/11/2023 on behalf of the granting of Indonesian citizenship on behalf of Jay Noay Idzes and regarding the request for consideration of Nathan Noel Romejo Tjoe-A-On's citizenship.

"Agreeing to the request for consideration on the name mentioned above, on the basis of the letter, Commission X will discuss it with the Minister of Youth and Sports in today's Working Meeting," continued Hetifah.

After declaring the approval of naturalization, Hetifah as the chair of the session welcomed Jay and Nathan as part of the Indonesian Citizens (WNI).

After the process is complete, Hetifah hopes that the presence of these two names can help with the development of sports in the country.
