Banyumas Landslide, 6 People Buried And 1 Of Them Found Dead
One person died, three people were injured, and two others were displaced due to landslides in RT 05/RW 01 Klinting Village, Somagede District, Banyumas Regency, Central Java, Monday, December 4 in the morning.
In addition to tearing down a house inhabited by two families, landslides also completely closed the district road connecting Klinting-Somagede.
The Head of BPBD Banyumas, Budi Nugroho, said the landslide occurred due to the escalation of rain.
"As a result of the heavy and long rain, then a landslide occurred that hit the house and resulted in one person dying, on behalf of Komarudin (21)," said Budi.
Budi further said that the three occupants of the house were injured and taken to the Siaga Medika Hospital, while the other two were safe and evacuated.
Regarding the handling efforts, the Banyumas BPBD team has deployed a team to cooperate with the TNI-Polri and a number of volunteers and heavy equipment to clean up avalanche materials.
Budi said that his party had educated residents around the location regarding the potential for landslides.
"While we have educated residents to activate siskamling, someone must be on standby 24 hours," he concluded.
One of the local residents, Marsadi Sijan (67), said the landslide occurred at around 03.30 WIB.

He and other residents then left the house and checked the location. At that time the landslide had filled the road and knocked down the house.
