Almost Failed Again, Liverpool Beat Fulham and Overtake Man City
JAKARTA - Liverpool almost failed to win when they hosted Fulham in the continuation of the English Premier League. In the duel at Anfield Stadium, Sunday 3 December evening WIB, Liverpool won 3-2 while overtaking Manchester City.
Liverpool heated up the competition after getting three points when they hosted Fulham. The victory made Liverpool improve their ranking.
Now, the Reds, who have 31 points, have succeeded in overtaking Man City. However, Liverpool's two-point lead can still be caught by Man City. As long as they can beat their guests Tottenham Hotspur.
Meanwhile, Fulham is stuck at the bottom of the table. The London club is ranked 14th with 15 points.
In that match, Liverpool was ahead when goalkeeper Bernd Leno scored an own goal in the 10th minute. The goal came after he tried to save Trent Alexander-Arnold's free kick.
However, Liverpool's advantage did not last long. Fulham managed to equalize the score when Harry Wilson received Antonee Robinson's assist. Wilson's goal came in the 24th minute.
Liverpool are ahead again. This time, midfielder Alexis Mac Allister scored a goal in the 38th minute. Fulham apparently put up stiff resistance.
