Doni Monardo Dies, Head Of BNPB: May The Late Be Silent All His Sins
JAKARTA - Head of the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) Lt. Gen. Suharyanto mourned the death of Lt. Gen. Retired Doni Monardo who had held his post for 2019-2021.
Suharyanto prays for the good deeds of the former chairman of the COVID-19 Handling Task Force in the world will be rewarded by Allah SWT. "Inna lillahi wa inna illaihi rajiun, may the deceased be forgiven for all his sins, accepted for his deeds of worship, explained his grave, and got a noble place in the sight of Allah SWT," said Suharyanto in a written statement, Sunday, December 3.
Doni Monardo died at Siloam Hospital on Sunday, December 3, at 17.35 WIB.
Doni Monardo's body is currently being taken to the funeral home in Bumi Serpong Damai (BSD), South Tangerang.
Tomorrow, Monday, November 4, Doni Monardo's body will be buried at the Cijantung Kopassus Headquarters, East Jakarta, and then buried at the Kalibata Heroes Cemetery (TMP), South Jakarta.

Before his death, Doni Monardo was known to have been treated intensively at Siloam Semanggi Hospital, Jakarta. President Joko Widodo also visited Doni on 7 November.
This retired Army officer was born on May 10, 1963 in Cimahi, West Java. Doni is originally Minang.
Doni Monardo served as Head of BNPB from the 2019-2021 period. During his career at BNPB, he was the first to form a Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling COVID-19 during the pandemic, which was the Task Force for Handling COVID-19.
Before leading BNPB, Doni also served as Secretary General of the National Resilience Council for the 2018-2019 period, Military Regional Commander III/Siliwangi for the 2017-2018 period, Military Regional Commander XVI/Pattimura for the 2015'2017 period.
Doni also held the position of Commander General of the 2014'2015 Special Forces Command, as well as Commander of the Presidential Security Forces for the 2012'2014.
