Mahfud Reminds Voters To Pay Attention To The Track Record Of Candidates For Leaders
TRENGGALEK - Candidate for vice president Mahfud Md reminded the public to choose a candidate for leader according to conscience and not to forget to pay attention to the track record of each candidate.
This was conveyed by Mahfud when he met a number of "Mataraman" ulama (east Java area) at the Sulaiman Islamic Boarding School, Sukorejo Village, Gandusari District, Trenggalek, East Java, Saturday.
"I hope that the community will stay in harmony to maintain the Indonesian integrity. Please evaluate it objectively and correctly. If it is suitable, please choose, if it is not suitable, there is no need to choose. I will not suggest or tell you to choose who, you just value all the candidates," said Mahfud after the activity.
Mahfud did not immediately emphasize himself who also ran for the presidential election as a vice presidential candidate to accompany Ganjar Pranowo.

According to him, the public must continue to be educated to choose a leader by paying attention to their track record, reputation, in addition to of course seeing the weight of their vision and mission and commitment to the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia.
Therefore, Mahfud also advised the public not to be afraid if they get pressure or intervention in any form in channeling their voting rights.
"In choosing voters, it must be in accordance with what the heart says, especially if it must be able to represent, as taught in political fiqh," he said.
At the Sulaiman Trenggalek Islamic Boarding School, Mahfud Md met with a number of kiai in the former Mataraman area as well as cottage administrators in various regions, such as KH. Mahin Toha from Ponpes Lirboyo, KH. Dliya uddin Zamzami Ponpes Mantenan Blitar, KH. Yunus Ponpes Slemanan Blitar, KH. Musyaroh Usman Ponpes Sulaiman Trenggalek. Then KH. Arsyad Bushoiri, Ponpes Trens Tulungagung, KH. Ardani from Blitar, and KH. Ngadiyin Anwar Ponpes Sulaiman Madiun.
Dalam kegiatan silaturahim dan deklarasi dukungan kepada capres-cawapres Ganjar Pranowo dan Mahfud Md, juga dihadiri oleh para relawan peserta pilpres nomor 3 tersebut.
On that occasion, Mahfud advised the public to give their right to vote according to conscience.
According to him, the election is a series that must be passed to care for democracy and the unity of Indonesia, so he asked the public to respond wisely.
