Floods Threaten A Number Of Areas, PLN Prepares This Action Plan
JAKARTA - PT PLN (Persero) Jakarta Raya's Main Distribution Unit (UID) remains vigilant in maintaining electricity supply during the rainy season, especially in flood-prone areas. This action was taken to prevent unwanted incidents, realizing that water can be a dangerous electric carrier.
Lasiran, General Manager of PLN Jakarta's Main Distribution Unit (UID), emphasized his commitment to remain alert during puddles in Jakarta. If there are areas that are flooded with high floods and have the potential to be dangerous, PLN will take emergency action by turning off electricity for customer safety.
"For the sake of mutual safety, PLN will immediately turn off electricity if certain areas are flooded and have the potential to be dangerous," said Lasiran in Jakarta, on Sunday, December 2.
Nevertheless, Lasiran also appealed to the public to actively participate by removing electricity plugs and turning off electricity from kWh meter if their area was flooded.
"We hope that the community's active participation in removing electricity plugs and turning off electricity from kWh meter when the area is flooded. If the electricity is still on, it is hoped that the community will immediately contact PLN through PLN Mobile or 123," he added.
