Dozens Of Lapak In Pondok Kopi Burned

JAKARTA - Dozens of used goods and workshops covering an area of 625 meters on Jalan TPU Malaka II RT 03/03 Pondok Kopi Village, Duren Sawit Village, East Jakarta, were burned down.

Head of the Operations Section of the East Jakarta Fire and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Sub-dept. Gatot Suherman suspected that the fire came from the fire of the remaining used goods.

"It is suspected that the source is from the second floor of the east stall," said Gatot, quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, December 2.

Gatot said Gulkarmat received reports of fires from residents at around 07.32 WIB.

His party immediately deployed 65 personnel and 13 fire units and started extinguishing the fire at around 07.40 WIB.

At around 08.05 WIB, officers localized the burning building so as not to spread to other buildings. The fire ended at around 10.04 WIB. There were no casualties as a result of this incident. However, the loss due to the fire is estimated at IDR 300 million.
