These Are The Three Candidates For The Acting Governor Of East Java
Three names were proposed by the East Java DPRD to be the Acting Governor of East Java, in a plenary meeting. The names were then submitted to the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) for decision.
The three names are East Java Provincial Secretary Adhi Karyono, Head of the State Administration Institute of the Republic of Indonesia (LAN RI) Adi Suryanto, and Ministry of Home Affairs Inspector General Tomsi Tohir Balaw. All of these names were read out in plenary meetings.
"The candidate who meets the requirements is an official who has a Middle High Leadership Position," said Deputy Chairman of the East Java DPRD, Achmad Iskandar, Thursday, November 30.
In the plenary meeting, the chairman of the East Java DPRD Kusnadi and Deputy Chairperson of Anik Maslachah were also attended. Then, the Governor of East Java Khofifah Indar Parawansa and Emil Dardak as Deputy Governor of East Java.
Before producing the three names of the Pj candidates, the DPRD leadership first recruited the names of the factions in the council. From the information previously developed, the name Adhy Karyono was indeed proposed by the majority of factions.
The information appears to be proven by applause from the members of the council at the plenary meeting. However, Adhy was not present at the plenary meeting.

Before it was decided to be three names, he said, the East Java DPRD had clarified the names of candidates. The goal is to ensure that the requirements are met as contained in Permendagri number 4 of 2023. In the process, Iskandar hopes that the appointment of the Acting Governor of East Java later by the central government will continue to pay attention to neutrality.
"We hope that the Acting Governor who will be appointed is a neutral figure who can run a good government," said the senior Democrat politician.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the East Java DPRD, Kusnadi, explained that after the plenary meeting his party would immediately process the proposal for the name of the Acting Governor candidate to the Ministry of Home Affairs. Furthermore, the proposal is under the authority of the central government.
Moreover, based on the provisions, the Minister of Home Affairs also has the authority to raise candidates. Later, the appointment of the Acting Governor is determined by a Presidential Decree. "We propose. It could be that the results are not as we proposed," said Kusnadi.
