Dacia Duster 3rd Generation Global Debut, Comes With A Choice Of Three Powertrains

JAKARTA - The third-generation Dacia Duster officially debuted global by promising new technologies, new machines, including hybrid and offering better practicality.

Quoted from the Auto Express page, Thursday, November 30, this latest Duster offers significant changes across parts, including its exterior that stands out more than the previous generation.

Some of the main highlights include Y-shaped lighting elements on the front and back, and come with a sturdy engine hood completes a strong character, and is equipped with the Duster logo on the center front flanked by a lamp.

There is also a new bumper with vertical air ventilation, and it is equipped with two circle-shaped fog lights embedded on the right and left side of the bumper. Meanwhile on the side there are several curves that emphasize the design of this third generation, on the back retaining the glass that tapered typical of the previous generation.

So what are the specifications of the machine and its performance? The new generation of Dusters have three choices of powertrain. Covering a turbo 1.0 liter entry-level gasoline engine that produces a peak power of 120 hp. The 1.2 liter gasoline hybrid engine produces 140 hp. The third option is a 1.3 liter turbo gasoline engine which produces 170 hp. The machine can be run with Ethanol mixed fuel on a higher trim.

Various interesting features are also embedded in this third-generation Dacia Duster, such as instrument screens, Bluetooth connectivity, USB ports, cruising control, and rear parking sensors. Meanwhile, 10.1-inch screens and newly revised Dacia infotainment offerings are available at the trim Expression level and higher. The system includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto wireless connectivity.

Dacia has not announced a price for the new Duster, but on the European continent it is estimated that the price is below 20,000 euros or around Rp340 million.
