KPU RI: The Design Of The 2024 Presidential Election Election Has Been Agreed By The Paslon

JAKARTA - Member of the Indonesian General Elections Commission (KPU) Yulianto Sudrajat said the design of the ballot for the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres) had been agreed upon by all pairs of presidential and vice presidential candidates and will be printed immediately.

"The design has been agreed with the candidate pair, then the process will go into the printing process," Yulianto said in his statement to reporters via text message in Jakarta, Antara, Wednesday, November 29.

In the ballot design, there are three photos of the presidential and vice presidential candidate pairs participating in the 2024 presidential election.

Candidate pair number 1, Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar, in the ballot wore a black coat with a white shirt on the inside.

Candidate pair number 2, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka, was seen wearing the same blue shirt.

Photo of candidate pair number 3, Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD, in the ballot looks different from the other two candidate pairs.

Ganjar and Mahfud appear to be wearing shirts of different colors. Ganjar wore a black shirt, while Mahfud was white.

In the image box of each candidate pair, the joint logo of supporting parties is also listed at the bottom of the photo of the presidential and vice presidential candidates.

Previously, Yulianto said that the KPU was constrained by the fulfillment of the second phase of logistics, which included printing ballots, forms, and a list of permanent candidates (DCT), because there were two electoral districts (dapil) that were still disputed regarding candidacy.

"There are still two that have not been completed, namely the West Sumatra DPD Legislative Election and the North Kalimantan Provincial DPRD 1," said Yulianto at the Indonesian KPU Building, Jakarta, Tuesday (28/11).

Yulianto added that the KPU is still waiting for a decision from the General Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) and the State Administrative Court (PTUN) regarding the nomination dispute, before printing a ballot for the 2024 Legislative Election.

The Indonesian KPU has received registrations for three presidential and vice presidential pairs for the 2024 presidential election, namely Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar, Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD, and Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

The Anies-Muhaimin pair was promoted by the NasDem Party, the National Awakening Party (PKB), the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS), and the Ummah Party.

The Ganjar-Mahfud pair was promoted by the DPI Perjuangan, the United Development Party (PPP), the Perindo Party, and the People's Conscience Party (Hanura).

Meanwhile, the Prabowo-Gibran pair were promoted by the Gerindra Party, the Golkar Party, the National Mandate Party (PAN), the Democratic Party, the Crescent Star Party (PBB), the Gelora Party, the Garuda Party, and the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI), and the People's Fair and Prosperous Party (Prima) who did not qualify to participate in the 2024 General Election.

The Indonesian KPU has set an election campaign period from November 28, 2023 to February 10, 2024, while the vote is scheduled for February 14, 2024.
