Denpasar Mayor Visits Satpol PP Members Victims Of Persecution

DENPASAR - Mayor of Denpasar, Bali, I Gusti Ngurah Jaya Negara visited a member of the Denpasar City Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) who was a victim of abuse by an unknown group of people.

"The victim is no longer dizzy, his head has been scanned normally and can already eat. But he still needs recovery and still needs treatment so that the stitches on the temples are not infected," said Jaya Negara, Tuesday, November 28.

The victim, Ketut Giri Asta, is being treated at Wangaya Hospital, Denpasar. He was previously a victim of abuse by an unknown person who visited the Denpasar City Satpol PP Office, on Sunday (26/11) in the early hours of 04.30 WITA.

Apart from Giri Asta, as a result of the attack, five of his other colleagues at the Denpasar Satpol PP also suffered injuries and 33 women suspected of being commercial sex workers (PSK) who were being detained at the Denpasar Satpol PP managed to escape.

By visiting the victim, he wants to ensure that the victim has received optimal treatment so that as soon as possible he can return home and be as healthy as before.

"All health services are borne by Wangaya Hospital. In addition, BPJS Ketenagakerjaan and Korpri cooperative compensation is also fought for," he said.

Regarding the continuation of the attack case, Jaya Negara fully handed over to the TNI-Polri apparatus. His party will also again hold population data collection and joint inspections to avoid disturbances in public order.

Meanwhile, Denpasar City Satpol PP Head AA Ngurah Bawa Nendra said that of the six people who were victims of persecution, one person who was still being treated was on behalf of Giri Asta.

"One person was hospitalized, his condition is now improving, hopefully he can go home soon," said Bawa Nendra, quoted by ANTARA.
