Admits Difficulty Monitoring Subordinates Carry Out Tasks, KPK Leader: There Is A Disposition But Not Followed Up

JAKARTA - KPK Deputy Chairman Alexander Marwata admitted that so far he had not been able to monitor the work of his subordinates optimally. He recently only found out that there were many dispositions or orders to carry out the investigation but not followed up.

This was conveyed after the KPK leadership held a meeting after Nawawi Pomolango was appointed as the Temporary Chair of the KPK replacing Firli Bahuri who was a suspect. Alexander said that one of these dispositions was related to the case at the Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan).

"When we were handling a case that we later named a suspect related to extortion, we were really blank, we didn't know that in 2020 there were reports from the public and it turned out that the leader had also positioned it, conducted an investigation," Alexander said as quoted from the KPK YouTube show, Tuesday, November 28.

"But it turns out that it was also not followed up, only yesterday we ordered that sprinlidik be issued (the warrant for the start of the investigation)," he continued.

This condition, said Alexander, occurred because the incoming cases were not monitored due to the lack of facilities. "We don't have the tools to monitor whether the leadership's position is followed up or not," he said.

The same thing also happened for the results of the analysis of the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK). "There are many leadership dispositions that we have provided, "conduct an investigation, carry out an investigation' whether it was done or not, we don't have any monitoring tools," he said.

Thus, the leadership asked for a dashboard to be made whose contents could be checked. It is hoped that this kind of incident will not be repeated because monitoring can be done, especially in the field of prosecution which is prone to fraud.

"With the dashboard, the leadership can monitor, approximately the leadership's position, especially those related to prosecution," explained Alexander.

"Because the most vulnerable KPK is taking action, that's what we have to control properly, whether the position of the leader who ordered the investigation was followed up or not," he concluded.
