Skyworth Skyhome, Candidates For Serious Challengers In The Segment Of Luxury Sedans
Skyworth Skyhome is a luxury electric sedan from China that can be a serious challenger to big names such as Lucid Air, BMW i7, and Mercedes EQS when it launches.
This luxurious sedan appears in a spectacular style with a cabin designed like a private jet cabin.
Reporting from Carbuzz, November 27, Skyworth is a subsidiary of Skywell's automotive company, an electronics group based in China.
Skyworth Skyhome has just been introduced in its home country, which is said to be present in two variants, with the highest variant reportedly having two electric motors that generate up to 617 dk of power with acceleration capabilities from 0-100 km/hour within 3.5 seconds. But speed and power are not the main focus of Skyhome because the car is dedicated to pursuing luxury and sophistication of its technology.
Skyhome interior is designed to emphasize passenger comfort, especially at the back. Skyhome is also equipped with a large refrigerator that can accommodate several bottles of champagne. Individual backchair provides maximum comfort, apparently using high-quality textile materials. This trend is increasingly popular among automotive manufacturers who are increasingly concerned about environmental issues. Of course, the seats can be tilted and even equipped with massage functions.
Skyhome not only offers physical comfort, but also innovative technology. Car canopy wings can slide backwards as cars move, reduce wind drag and save power. In an emergency braking situation, the wings can also tilt upward by 5%, increasing braking strength.
Meanwhile, the "Ten Smart Butlers" smart assistant system uses artificial intelligence to help drivers in various needs. Well, like most of China's current automotive manufacturers whose rivals find it difficult to counter is the price. Although designed as a luxury sedan, Skyhome is said to be marketed at affordable prices. It is estimated that it will start from 220,000 yuan, equivalent to Rp480 million.
