Prosecutors Respond To Panji Gumilang's Exception
InDRAMAYU - The defendant in the alleged criminal act of blasphemy against Panji Gumilang has again undergone a follow-up trial at the Indramayu District Court (PN), West Java. The trial is scheduled to deliver a response from the public prosecutor (JPU) on the exception proposed by the defendant.
Spokesperson for the Indramayu District Court Adrian Anju Purba said the follow-up trial will start at 09.15 WIB by presenting the defendant Panji Gumilang and his legal team.
"The agenda is to listen to the response from the prosecutor to the exception submitted by the defendant's legal advisor," said Adrianusasidang as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, November 27.
According to Adrian, the third trial went smoothly because it was supported by tight security from police officers who had been on standby since morning.
During the trial process, he continued, the prosecutor's team rejected the defendant's exception. However, the objection submitted by Panji Gumilang at the previous trial has not been granted by the Panel of Judges of the Indramayu District Court.

"The panel of judges has not refused or been granted. So, legally the event, after listening to the response (JPU), the judge will take a stand," explained Adrian.
The decision of the Chief Justice of the Panji Gumilang exception will be submitted at the next trial which is scheduled for December 6, 2023.
"When it will be (the decision on the exception), on December 6, 2023, with the submission of an interim decision. Later, in the interim decision it accepts or refuses rather than exceptions," said Adrian.
