Answering The Needs Of The Electric Logistics Market, Mitsubishi Releases Minicab EV
JAKARTA - Mitsubishi has officially announced the launch of the latest Minicab EV as an electric-powered trading vehicle in the kei car class. This car is said to have better capabilities than its predecessor, Minicab-MiEV.
The new EV minicab offers better cruising range as well as enhanced safety and convenience features to answer commercial customer needs.
Based on the alert from the company's official website, Friday, November 24, this car uses the latest electric and battery motor components. The EV minicab is said to have a range of up to 180 km in a single charge.
Thus, its cruising capacity rose 35 percent from its predecessor. The Kei car is compatible with AC200V chargers who require approximately 7.5 hours of battery charging. However, the battery can be charged up to 80 percent within 42 minutes with a DC fast charger.
Using the latest electric motor, the Minicab EV is capable of producing torques up to 195 Nm. This means that this vehicle maintains smooth driving performance in the style of electric vehicles. In addition, new motors and inverters have been integrated into one unit to increase calm, allowing users to drive in the morning or late at night without fear of disturbing others.
Despite its small size, the Japanese manufacturer also has an active safety system, including the Forward Collision Mitigation System (FCM), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Automatic High Beam (AHB), and Ultrasonic miscelleration Mitigation System (UMS) while driving forward have been adopted to improve safety performance.
Hill Start Assist (HSA), which prevents vehicles from rolling back as it starts at a steep incline, has been added to a safe and worry-free start.
This small commercial car will go on sale in Japan on December 21 by offering two configurations, namely two seats and four seats.
