Police Arrested Satpol PP Persons Related To Deadly Accident On Sunter Flyover

Head of North Jakarta Metro Police Traffic Unit, Kompol Edy Purwanto confirmed the accident that occurred on Jalan Yos Sudarso, precisely at the flyover in front of the Sunter Automotive Exchange, North Jakarta.

Kompol Edy explained, the incident occurred on Friday afternoon, November 24, at around 11 pm.

The accident involved four-wheeled riders (Satpol PP official car) and six motorcycles.

"Initial information we can convey is that in the accident there were 6 victims. Among them 1 died, 1 seriously injured, 4 others were also injured. And currently the victims are also receiving treatment at the hospital", said Kompol Edy when contacted by VOI, Friday, November 25.

Edy said the car driver who allegedly hit the victims was a member of the Satpol PP with his official vehicle.

"That's right Satpol PP." said Edy.

Regarding the fatalities in the incident, the police are still investigating.

"Currently we are still investigating. Was hit by death and then thrown (falling from the flyover). Or hit by a new shot died. We don't know for sure. Currently it's still in the process of being treated." he explained.

Edy confirmed that the victims who hit the victims were members of the Satpol PP.

"That's right (Satpol PP)," said Edy.

Currently, the victim has been taken to the hospital for medical treatment. For the victim, his body was taken to the RSCM, Central Jakarta.

Meanwhile, the seriously and lightly injured victims were taken to Koja Hospital, North Jakarta.

"Earlier, someone was taken to Koja Hospital. But to be precise, we asked for time to check again", said Edy.

Edy said that the suspected Satpol PP officers were still being arrested for legal processing.

"According to the procedure, we will immediately follow up. Please time, at this time we are conducting an investigation first. It must be secured (the perpetrator)." concluded Edy.

Previously, the North Jakarta Satpol PP patrol car was involved in an accident that resulted in 6 motorcyclists at the Flyover Mal Of Indonesia (MOI), Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta, being seriously injured. Even one of the victims died.

The victim was an online motorcycle taxi driver (ojol) who passed by the scene, Friday afternoon, November 24.

The chronology of this incident is not yet known, but based on the video received and VOI monitoring at the crime scene (TKP), the Satpol PP car suffered damage to the front hood.

Worse, the ojol driver who died fell from the Flyover under the road. There was a severe bleeding in the head.

Seen traffic jams at the scene. The ambulance at the location immediately evacuated the victim's body.

While the other victims were still lying covered in blood on the asphalt flyover.
