Prostitution On The Edge Of The Cakung Toll Road Is Already Acute, Residents Say Women Stand On The Road To Look For Customers, Even Though Immigrants

JAKARTA - Controlling cafes and massage parlors by joint officers along the East Side Toll Road, Pulogebang, Cakung District, East Jakarta, received support from local residents. Even residents appreciate the steps taken by Satpol PP.

Based on Kriston's statement, a local resident, he felt very grateful to the government who came to his area to control cafes and massage parlors directly. The reason is, the existence of this place of immorality has disturbed the community.

"For us residents here, massage parlors here are very disturbing. These are prayer rooms, mosque marbots, I am the church administrator at this place, we all agreed to reject the massage parlor in Kampung Sawah Indah, Pulogebang, Cakung," Kriston told reporters, Friday, November 24.

Kriston explained that the buildings in the area had been established 25 years ago. He also bought a place to live in the Sawah Indah Village area for 22 years.

"This is not a wild village, with people coming to this massage parlor we feel uncomfortable. We are restless, because they (hang) on the streets call out like that. Because of this we are official residents here, not illegal residents here. Where did they come from, they didn't come to this place," said Kriston.

Kriston and other residents who refused, hoped that the East Jakarta City Government could take firm action against the existence of massage parlors and cafes in the area.

"Our hope is that it will be permanently closed. We are very supportive (of cafe control) too," he said.
