TKN Explains Why Gibran Did Not Attend Muhammadiyah Public Dialogue In Surabaya
JAKARTA - Secretary of the Prabowo-Gibran National Campaign Team (TKN), Nusron Wahid, explained the reason why the vice presidential candidate (cawapres) Gibran Rakabuming Raka did not attend the Muhammadiyah Public Dialogue with the presidential and vice presidential candidates in Surabaya, East Java, this morning.
Nusron explained, candidate pair number two shares the task of attending two different important events simultaneously.
Prabowo Subianto will attend the Muhammadiyah Public Dialogue with Prospective National Leaders at the Univeristas Campus, Muhammadiyah Surabaya. Meanwhile, Gibran Rakabuming attended the PP for the Nahdlatul Ulama Teachers Association (Pergunu) at the Amanatul Ummah Islamic Boarding School, Mojokerto, East Java.
NU and Muhammadiyah are important components in the Islamic landscape of rahmatan lil alamin in Indonesia, so it is impossible for them to be identified with each other. Therefore Prabowo and Gibran share their duties," Nusron told reporters in Jakarta, Friday, November 24.
Nusron said the two events were equally important so that the division of tasks had to be carried out by Prabowo and Gibran.
"I apologize to the people who want the two to attend at the same time, but for us these two events are equally important and this division of tasks is the middle way," said Nusron.
