Pencari Asaka Di Depok Capai 170 Orang, Immigration: Karena Wilayahnya Strategis Dekat Jakarta
Head of the Immigration Division of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham) West Java Yayan Indriyana said the number of refugees and asylum seekers in Depok City was around 170 people in 2023.
Yayan said this while attending the Foreigner Supervision Team (TIMPORA) meeting in Depok, West Java, Wednesday, November 22. The meeting was attended by the National Unity and Political Agency of Depok City, Depok City Resort Police, Depok City Population and Civil Registration Office.
"This is because the location of the Depok City area is very strategic, close to Jakarta", Yayan explained, Wednesday, November 22, was confiscated by Antara.

Yayan said the emergence of refugees was caused by deteriorating circumstances in the political, economic, and social realms of a country, forcing people to leave the country and seek safer shelter in other countries.
"With the synergy and collaboration between agencies in the Depok City area, we hope that the presence of refugees or asylum seekers in the Depok City area can be safe and conducive, there is nothing dangerous, both in terms of national defense, security, order, justisi and immigration," said Yayan.
Yayan also advised that every owner of the applicant must report to the Immigration Office if there are foreigners staying at his place, other than that if there are foreigners who experience changes in their civil status, changes in addresses must also be reported to the immigration office.
