Political Year, World Pres Asked To Beware Of Hoaxes Using AI
BOGOR - Deputy Mayor of Bogor, Dedie A Rachim asked online mass media activists, content creators and young presenters to be aware of false information or hoaxes using artificial intelligence (AI) technology or artificial intelligence in the middle of a political year.
Dedie Rachim when opening the briefing of the national-level presenter competition in the 86th Anniversary series of LKBN ANTARA at Ib Khaldun University, Monday, November 20, said that along with the development of digital technology, the world of journalism needs to anticipate the influence of AI in spreading hoaxes that can divide the nation.
"In fact, there are also hoax AI videos that are sometimes still heard and seen by social media users. Like President Jokowi's speech some time ago, it was excited to use Chinese, even though the contents may not be true. This is something that needs to be anticipated and overcome," said Dedie.
According to Dedie, the important concentration of journalistic education is a bulwark for online media and social media activists and young presenters in creating content or broadcasts.
Quality news will lead the public to be wiser in responding to issues, facts, data and actuality.
The journalistic code of ethics, said Dedie, needs to be echoed again through education submitted to prospective young presenters.

Head of LKBN Antara Jakarta Supporting Bureau Budi Setiawanto said that the development of AI in the world of journalism can be handled by the mass media and digital media activists wisely.
The presence of AI does not necessarily replace the role of journalists in reporting news in certain situations that require a depiction of the atmosphere.
"The talent of young presenters must be forged with journalistic insight, mastery of technology and good benefits for the public and the journalistic profession," he said.
