The Ministry Of PUPR Will Continue The Arrangement Of KSPN Borobudur Phase 2, The Value Is Capai Rp200 Billion
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) will continue the project to organize the National Tourism Strategic Area (KSPN) around the Borobudur Phase 2 Temple in Magelang, Central Java.
The plan to organize the Borobudur KSPN Phase 2 in 2023-2024 includes the construction of the Mendut-Pawon-Borobudur Cultural Action Line (boardwalk on the edge of the Progo River), the construction of the Borobudur Art Village and Museum in Kujon, as well as the construction of the Kujon sports field.
"We want to organize the Borobudur area. We have moved MSMEs to Kujon," said Basuki at the DPR RI Building, Jakarta, Monday, November 20.
The arrangement aims to preserve the Borobudur area as a world cultural heritage site (World Heritage Site) and develop it as a world-class tourism destination.
On the same occasion, Director General of Human Settlements Diana Kusumastuti said the arrangement of the area had begun this year.
"November (2023) has signed the contract. It's already started," he said.

He added that the budget used for the project reached around Rp. 200 billion.
"The budget, if I'm not mistaken, is around Rp. 200 billion," he added.
According to the plan, the construction of the Borobudur Art Village in Kujon will cover an area of 10.74 ha.
The scope of construction activities includes the arts market of souvenirs, culinary, vehicle parking and access points (shuttle), creative spaces, art craft training centers, cultural arts stage, parking, shuttle service/wira-wiri, rest room, as well as prayer rooms and landscape gardens.
