Jorge Martin Wins Qatar 2023 MotoGP Sprint Race, Fifth Bagnaia But Stays At The Top Of The Standings

JAKARTA - Prima Pramac Racing racer Jorge Martin successfully won the Qatar 2023 MotoGP Sprint Race agenda. Francesco Bagnaia, who was seeded, finished the race in fifth position.

The Qatar 2023 MotoGP Sprint Race took place at the Losail Circuit on Sunday, November 19 in the morning WIB. Jorge Martin, who started in fifth position, managed to record the time of 20:52.634 as the fastest.

Behind Martin followed Fabio DiGianntonio in second place with a time of 0.391 seconds later. While in third place there was Luca Marini who previously started the sprint race from pole but finished with a time difference of 2.875 seconds from Martin.

Luca Marini, who became the start leader, immediately shot as the green light flashed marking the race. But his position in the front row did not last long as the competition heated up.

Francesco Bagnaia, who was championed to win, failed to get on the podium. Because he completed the Qatar 2023 MotoGP Sprint Race in fifth position, the Pramac Ducati rider had a time difference of 3.957 seconds from Jorge Martin's record.

Although they can only complete the Sprint Race in fifth position, this result means a lot to Bagnaia. Because with this note he can add five points to maintain the advantage at the top of the standings.

So far, Bagnaia and Jorge Martin's rivalry to win the World Champion title is still fierce. With an additional five points from Sprint Race, Bagnaia is now collecting 417 points to stay at the top.

However, the number is also not far from that of Jorge Martin. Thanks to the victory in the Sprint Race, Jorge Martin now has 410 points where it is only a seven-point difference from Bagnaia's.

The narrow difference in points is the second capital to look at the Qatar MotoGP race, Monday, November 20 in the morning. With a longer number of laps, namely 22 laps and also a wider number of points, Bagnaia vs Martin's competition will be even more exciting.

Both will surely desperately win considering there is only one race left after this, namely the closing series in Valencia next week.
