U-17 World Cup Results 2023: Indonesia U-17 Defeated By Morocco U-17, Kans To Tipis Falls Phase

JAKARTA - Indonesia U-17 lost against Morocco U-17 in the third match of Group A of the 2023 U-17 World Cup. At the meeting on Thursday, November 16, 2023 night, Young Garuda fell 1-3.

Meeting at the Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium (GBT), Surabaya, Garuda Muda as the host was instead defeated by the visitors. Morocco U-17, who appeared pressing, was able to lead by two goals first.

Morocco's opener U017 was created by Anas Alouui's penalty in the 29th minute. They then added a goal through Abdelhamid Ait Boudlal in the 38th minute.

Indonesia U-17 had run low to 1-2. The deadlock-breaking goal was born from Nabil Ashura's free kick just before halftime, in the 42nd minute to be exact.

After the break, Morocco U-17 added another goal through Mohammed Hamony in the 64th minute. The 3-1 score continued until the long whistle sounded.

A 3-1 win saw Morocco U-17 make sure to qualify for the last 16 after topping Group A with six points. They were accompanied by Ecuador's U-17 in second place with a collection of five points after drawing 1-1 against Panama.

Meanwhile, Indonesia U-17's chances of going to the knockout stages are fairly heavy through the best third-placed route by only winning two points from the previous two draws.
