2 Super Tucano Plane Crashes, Indonesian Air Force: Bad Weather Makes Airplanes Too Low
Head of the Air Force Information Service (Kadispenau) First Marshal of the Indonesian Armed Forces R. Agung Sasongkojati said the temporary suspicion of the crash of two Super Tucano fighter aircraft in Pasuruan, East Java, was due to bad weather.
The bad weather that made the plane fly too low on the mountain slope. The condition of the plane was completely damaged and burned," said Kadispenau at a press conference, Thursday, February 16.
Two EMB-314 Super Tucano tactical fighter aircraft crashed in Pasuruan, East Java, while practicing routine formations. The weather was said to be bad when one plane separated in formation training from Abd Malang Air Base.
In the training session, the two planes were flown by a total of four middle officers of the Indonesian Air Force, namely Lt. Col. Pnb Sandhra 'Chevron' Gunawan ( Air Squadron 21 Commander), Colonel Pnb Subhan ( Air Danwing 2 Abdulrachman Saleh Air Base), Colonel Adm Widiono Hadiwijaya (Head of Air Base Personnel Abdulrachman Saleh), and Major Pnb Yuda A. Seta.

Lt. Col. Pnb Sandhra and Colonel Adm Widiono boarded the plane with registration number TT-3111, while Major Pnb Yuda and Colonel Pnb Subhan were on the plane with registration number TT-3103. Sandhra and Yudo filled the front seat of the wheel (front), while Widiono and Subhan were in the back seat.
Two bodies were found, the late Major Yuda Seta and the Subhan Aviation Colonel. For another aircraft Colonel Widiono was found, Lt. Col. Sandhra (Sandhra Gunawan) is still being searched," said Kadispenau.
