Postponing Examination During Elections, PKS Asks The Attorney General: What's The Background?
JAKARTA - Member of Commission III of the DPR from the PKS faction, Nasir Djamil questioned the Attorney General, Sanitiar Burhanuddin regarding the background of delaying examinations for 2024 election participants who were involved in corruption cases (tipikor). The reason is, the delay is considered the same as delaying legal certainty for the perpetrators. "But on the other hand, it seems that delaying the investigation process, delaying justice, delaying the legal benefit itself," he continued. Therefore, the legislator from Aceh wanted to know the explanation of the Attorney General regarding what caused him to postpone the examination of corruption cases during the election. "We want to get further information, what is behind the delay in the examination process related to the attorney general's office," Nasir said. "Of course, I heard that there was a general prosecutor's instruction, but of course there was a significant background when the Attorney General issued instructions regarding the postponement of this examination process. Because some parties said that this is the same delaying certainty and delaying the benefits and justice of the law itself," he added.
