Mukhlisin, Who Slipped And Drowned In Krueng Aceh, Was Successfully Evacuated By The Basarnas Team

BANDA ACEH - Banda Aceh National SAR Agency (Basarnas) team evacuated the bodies of the victims who were previously reported to have drowned in Krueng (River) Aceh, Kuta Alam District, Banda Aceh City.Head of Banda Aceh Basarnas Ibnu Harris Al Hussain said the victim with the identity of Mukhlisin (33), a resident of Simpang Tiga, Pidie Regency, Aceh Province."The victim was reported drowned in Krueng Aceh, Banda Aceh City, on Sunday (12/11) at around 05.15 WIB. The victim was found dead on Monday (13/11) at around 12.30 WIB," said Ibnu Harris Al Hussain in Banda Aceh, Antara, Monday, November 13.Previously, a number of residents said that the victim went to the banks of Krueng Aceh on Sunday (12/11) at around 05.15 WIB. However, suddenly the victim slipped and drowned into the river that split the city of Banda Aceh.Then, the information about the drowning victim in Krueng Aceh was conveyed to the Banda Aceh Basarnas Office. Based on this information, the Banda Aceh Basarnas deployed a SAR team to look for victims."The victim was searched for all Sunday (12/11) by combing one kilometer using two rubber boats Basarnas and BPBD Banda Aceh City. However, the victim has not been found, so the search for victims continues Monday (13/11)," said Ibnu Harris Al Hussain.On the second day of the search, he said, the joint SAR team again searched Krueng Aceh for one kilometer. The victim was finally found dead about one kilometer from where the victim was reported to have slipped."Furthermore, the victim's body was evacuated to the riverbank. Then, the victim's body was handed over to the family for the funeral process," said Ibnu Harris Al Hussain.In addition to Basarnas personnel, the search for victims also involved officers from the Banda Aceh City Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), elements of the TNI and Polri, the Banda Aceh City SAR Task Force, the radio community, as well as fishermen and the community.
"With the discovery of the victim, the SAR operation was closed and the personnel involved were returned to their respective units or agencies," said Ibnu Harris Al Hussain.
