Tankian SoAD Decree Reduces Tour: Not Top Priority In My Life List
JAKARTA - In a new interview with Revolver, System Of A Down frontman Serj Tankian made his comments a year ago that he was not interested in going on tours due to several health problems.
Asked if the problem still affected him, said Serj.
"Some of my back problems are much better, in terms of health, and that's good. I have a few other things that I'm currently facing, which may or may not be affected by travel or tours," he said.
"It's not just a health-related decision to reduce the tour, but also a lifestyle decision," he explained. Based on family and vision.
"I've been on tours for 20's, of course, over and over again. Not every year. And it's fun, profitable, making a lot of people happy to be out there and share music and [see] the reaction, and people really enjoy it and get input."
"However, after years of doing so and traveling the way involved, it is one of the things that is not a top priority on my life list."
Asked if it meant he wanted to spend more time with his son, Serj said the tour took him outside and he could take his family if SOAD had a small tour.

"And that's something we do, even when our son was very young. But it's just about prioritizing life and what you really want to do," he said.
"Some people like to go on tours until they are ready to leave this plane, and I don't see myself that way," he explained.
"For me, doing things measurably allows me to be more creative than doing something that keeps repeating and doing it for a long time. And it includes everything I do."
