Meeting Joe Biden, Jokowi Brought the Results of the OIC Summit Regarding the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict
JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo will deliver a special message from Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas which was entrusted to United States President Joe Biden during the meeting. Jokowi is now in Washington, D.C.
"I will also convey a message from Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas who asked me specifically to convey it to President Biden," said Jokowi in a live broadcast on the Presidential Secretariat YouTube, Monday, November 13.
At his meeting later, Jokowi will convey the resolution agreed upon from the results of the Extraordinary Summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the previous day.
According to Jokowi, a ceasefire between Palestine and Israel must be realized immediately, humanitarian aid must be accelerated and increased, and peace negotiations must begin immediately.
Jokowi also emphasized that public facilities and humanitarian activities should not be the target of attacks and that Israel must be held responsible for the atrocities it has committed.
This message, continued Jokowi, will be delivered directly to United States President Joe Biden during his visit to the US today.
"Thank God, the OIC Summit produced a resolution that contains a very strong message for the world, and a very strong message for the world and this message is what I will convey to President Biden tomorrow. Where, this is the vote of 57 countries or about a third of the votes of countries in the world ," he stressed.

At the bottom of the plane's stairs, Jokowi was greeted by Acting United States Chief of Protocol Ethan Rosenzweigh, US Ambassador to Indonesia Sung Kim, Indonesian Ambassador to the US Rosan Perkasa Roeslani, and Defense Attache of the Indonesian Embassy in Washington DC, Marsma TNI Tjahya Elang Migdiawan.

In Washington DC, Jokowi is scheduled to meet US President Joe Biden at the White House. Jokowi said the meeting was a good opportunity to voice Indonesia's firm position regarding the situation in Gaza.
