Support Palestine, Today Jokowi Meets President Joe Biden
JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo arrived in Washington DC, United States, Sunday local time or Monday 13 November Indonesian time, to meet with the President of the United States (US) Joe Biden.
After approximately 15 hours of flight from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the Garuda Indonesia (GA-1) plane brought Jokowi to land at Andrews Military Base, Washington DC. on Monday morning Indonesian time, as quoted from a statement from the Press Bureau of the Presidential Secretariat received in Jakarta, Monday, November 13.
Under the plane's stairs, Jokowi was greeted by Acting Head of United States Protocol Ethan Rosenzweigh, US Ambassador to Indonesia Sung Kim, Indonesian Ambassador to the US Rosan Perkasa Roeslani, and Defense Attache of the Indonesian Embassy in Washington DC. Marsma TNI Tjahya Elang Migdiawan.
Furthermore, Jokowi and his entourage then headed to the hotel where they were staying and were scheduled to start their work agenda on Monday local time.
Arriving at the hotel, he seemed to welcome Jokowi, namely Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment ad interim Erick Thohir, Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Mendikbudristek) Nadiem Makarim, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Arifin Tasrif, DC DKBRI DC DC Ida Bagus Bimantara and his wife, and DC Indonesian Embassy Police Brigadier General Oktavianus Marthin along with his wife.

In Washington DC, Jokowi is scheduled to meet US President Joe Biden at the White House. Jokowi said the meeting was a good opportunity to voice Indonesia's firm position regarding the situation in Gaza.
"This visit is also a good opportunity to directly convey the results of the OIC Summit in Riyadh which reflects the solidarity of OIC countries to defend justice and humanity," said Jokowi.
