Attending The Pledge Event, Munarman Allegedly Protecting Terrorism Information
JAKARTA - The chairman of Cyber Indonesia Husin Alwi suspected that the former General Secretary of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) Munarman was hiding information about terrorist activities. This is because Munarman attended the ISIS group's initiation event but did not report it to the police.
"In fact, if he (Munarman) knew that Abu Bakr Al Baghdadi was involved, Munarman could be suspected of having committed the criminal act of withholding information related to terrorism," he said in a virtual discussion, Sunday, February 14.
Furthermore, Husin said Munarman was suspected of violating Article 13 letter C of the Terrorism Law because he did not report the activities of the terrorist implantation. According to him, Munarwan was also wrong because he was a speaker at the event and did not report.
"This just got busy after a statement from Aulia (the suspected terrorist who was caught) that 'I am an FPI member swayed by ISIS in front of Munarman', we can suspect that there was a violation there," he said.
Husin said Munarman had deliberately concealed the terrorist's implantation activities. This is because Munarman is too smart not to know Article 13 letter C of the Terrorism Law.
"So in my opinion Munarman is a law graduate, understands the law, he knows about the Terrorism Law," he explained.
Previously, Munarman's involvement in the ISIS movement first came out of the mouth of suspected terrorist Ahmad Aulia (AA). Ahmad Aulia is a terrorist suspect who was arrested in Makassar.
Ahmad Aulia said that he took allegiance to Abu Bakr Al Baghdadi, the leader of ISIS, during the FPI's declaration of support for Daulatul Islam in January 2015.
At the time of taking the pledge was attended by Munarman as the FPI Central committee, Ustaz Fauzan, and Ustaz Basri who led the Pledge. After the pledge, Ahmad Aulia admitted that he regularly participated in the taklim at the FPI Makassar headquarters.
