As Of September, The Semarang-Solo Toll Road Was Crossed By 57,971 Vehicles Per Day
PT Trans Marga Jateng (TMJ) noted that 57,971 vehicles per day passed on the Semarang-Solo Toll Road in September 2023.
This figure increased by 7.4 percent when compared to daily traffic in the same month in the previous year of 53,965 vehicles per day.
President Director of Trans Marga Central Java, Semarang Solo Toll Road, Prajudi, said that the toll road, which stretches along 72.64 km, has started operating since 2010.
Prajudi added that this toll road has 5 toll gates as an entrance to the Golden Triangle (Semarang, Solo, Jogja) and its surroundings. The five toll gates are Banyumanik Toll Gate (GT), Ungaran GT, Bawen GT, Salatiga GT, and Boyolali GT.
"All of these toll gates use a non-cash closed transaction system that is integrated with the Trans Java Toll Road. This toll road only has 4 intersections, namely the Ungaran Interchange, Bawen, Salatiga, and Bawen," Prajudi said in a written statement, quoted Friday, November 10.
He said that this toll road, apart from being a liaison, was also considered capable of cutting travel travel time in the Central Java region.
"As a simulation, the journey from Semarang to Kawan Industri Bawen through the arterial route takes about 60 minutes under normal conditions. Meanwhile, if it is via the Semarang-Solo Toll Road, it only takes about 30 minutes to travel or can save about 50 percent of travel time," said Supardi.
