73-year-old Grandfather's Chronology In Blitar Sadistically Kills Wife
BLITAR - The Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) of the Blitar Resort Police (Polres Blitar) East Java, arrested a grandfather with the initials STS (73) who had the heart to kill his wife Sri Juana (70), a resident of Talok Hamlet, Pojok Village, Garum District, Blitar Regency in a sadistic way.
The victim was killed by being beaten with wood and iron repeatedly on his wife's head. The grandfather was blindly jealous and accused his wife of having an affair with an old man who visited his house.
Kasatreskrim Polres Blitar AKP Febby Pahlevi Rizal said the motive for the murder by STS against his wife was upset. He accused his wife of cheating on him with another man who was also old.
"The motive for the murder was because it was romance, the suspect was blindly jealous and committed an act of murder," said AKP Febby Pahlevi, to reporters, Wednesday, November 8.
According to Kasatreskrim, to investigate the suspect's confession of killing his wife, until now his party is still asking for statements from witnesses from neighbors and the victim's family.
"To ensure allegations of infidelity committed by the victim, we also asked for information from local neighbors and the victim's family, including the suspect's daily relationship with the victim and the matter of domestic fights," he said.
He explained that the murder was carried out on Sunday night, when the suspect and the victim fought. During the fight, the suspect stalled, then took a small wood and crowbar and was hit in the back of the victim's head.
"The perpetrator hit the victim twice and hit the back of the head. The perpetrator then took the victim to the river on Monday morning. After that, the perpetrator fled and we managed to catch him in Blitar City," he said.
STS admitted that he was disappointed with his wife's attitude. He caught his wife in the house with another man, even though the man was also old.
"I caught him, the man was also old. I just came from work and heard my motorbike, the man immediately ran that afternoon," he said.
He admitted that after his wife lay covered in blood, on Monday morning while still breathing he immediately threw his wife into the river not far from his house.

As a result of his actions, the suspect was charged with Article 44 paragraph (3) of Law Number 23 of 2004 concerning the Elimination of Domestic Violence (PKDRT) with a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison.
