U-17 World Cup, Police Hold Safe Operations For Bacuya 2023
JAKARTA - The National Police held Operation Safe for the 2023 Bacuya in order to secure the U-17 World Cup. This activity was carried out from November 10 to December 4, 2023.
"The National Police carried out a centralized operation codenamed Safe Bacuya 2023 for 25 days," said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Inspector General Shandi Nugroho in his statement, Tuesday, November 7.
In Operation Safe Bacuya 2023, the security scheme is not only the implementation of the match. However, all match equipment to the U-17 World Cup participants are included in the list that must receive security.
"Security is carried out on the holding of matches, VVIP, VIP, Officials, players, referees and the entire FIFA U17 World Cup committee in 2023," he said.
A total of 13,246 personnel were involved in security. The details are 415 personnel from the Police Headquarters and 12,832 personnel from Polda Metro Jaya, Polda West Java, Polda Central Java, and Polda East Java.
Security is carried out mainly at the opening ceremony or opening ceremony, the location of the match from the group stage to the final and the closing place.
"By prioritizing preemptive and preventive activities supported by law enforcement and public relations in order to maintain security and order in the implementation of FIFA U17," said Shandi.
According to Shandi, the police personnel assigned to secure the activity were also asked to anticipate all potential disturbances to the kamtibmas that could occur.

The 2023 U-17 World Cup will take place from November 10 to December 2. A total of 24 countries divided into six groups will compete to become winners.

In this event, four stadiums in Indonesia have been chosen as places to compete for state representatives, namely, Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium in Surabaya, Manahan Stadium in Solo, Jakarta International Stadium (JIS), and Si Jalak Harupat Stadium Bandung.
The Indonesian National Team is in Group A with Ecuador, Panama and Morocco. The inaugural match, young Garuda will face Ecuador on November 10 at Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium.
