Gerindra Says MKMK's Decision Will Not Change Anything, Gibran Is Still Prabowo's Vice Presidential Candidate
JAKARTA - The daily chairman of the Gerindra Party DPP, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, said that the decision of the Honorary Council of the Constitutional Court (MKMK) would not change anything. This was said by Dasco in response to the MKMK's decision to read out the results of the examination trial on the alleged violation in the decision of the minimum age limit of the presidential and vice presidential candidates tomorrow, Tuesday, November 7 afternoon. "I think yes, we will see what the dynamics will be, because in our opinion, the Constitutional Court's decision will not change anything," said Dasco at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Monday, November 6. According to the Deputy Speaker of the DPR, the announcement of the results of the MKMK trial will not affect the pair of candidates who have officially registered with the KPU. Including the registration file Gibran Rakabuming Raka, who is 37 years old but has experience as a regional head, the KPU has announced as a running cawapres companion to Prabowo Subianto in the 2024 Presidential Election. "Paslon has registered the requirements completely and remains to be determined by the KPU. That is what should be, according to the regulations that apply, referring to any regulations," said Dasco.
Therefore, Dasco assessed that the results of the MKMK trial, which will be read out tomorrow, were only seen from the judiciary regarding the existence of reports so that they were processed. "Therefore, we will just wait for the results, which are planned if I'm not mistaken, tomorrow it will be announced," said Dasco.
