Winning 6-1 Over Bournemouth, Man City Regains The Standings Throne
JAKARTA - The same scenario is repeated. Manchester City regained the throne of the English Premier League standings after a big 6-1 win over Bournemouth at the Etihad Stadium, on Saturday, November 4 evening WIB. This time, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal have to work hard if they want to overtake Man City and take their position again.
There is no Erling Haaland's name on the scoreboard. Even though it was Man City, the striker number 9 didn't score a goal, meaning he couldn't score.
In that match, Bernardo Silva was the only one who scored a brace. Meanwhile, the others each only once broke into Bournemouth's goal, which was increasingly anxious because they were struggling at the bottom of the table.
Bournemouth is ranked 17th with six points. They are only one point ahead of Luton Town who are in the relegation zone.
Meanwhile, the victory made Man City return to the top. The defending league champions overtook the previous leaders, Tottenham Hotspur, after pocketing 27 points. One point ahead of their rivals. Meanwhile, Arsenal, who dropped to third place, has 24 points.
Man City's position is at least quite safe until Tuesday, November 7 early morning WIB, when Tottenham host Chelsea in the London Derby. If they fail to get full points, then Tottenham's mission to regain the top position will fail.
Meanwhile, Arsenal could not overthrow Man City because they lost on goal difference. Unless the Gunners win with a landslide score when they visit Newcastle United's headquarters in a few moments.
The problem is, Newcastle is on fire and increasingly confident. Especially after beating Manchester United 3-0 in the Carabao Cup match.
In that match, Man City was still strong against Bournemouth. The hosts' attacks easily broke through their fragile defense. This is what makes Man City predicted to win big.
Even though they fulfilled predictions by achieving a big win, The Cityzens experienced difficulties. The hosts were only able to overcome the deadlock through Jeremy Doku who found the back of the opponent's goal in the 30th minute.
Only three minutes later, it was Silva's turn to put Man City 2-0 up. Furthermore, defender Manuel Akanji also contributed a goal in the 37th minute. The score 3-0 for Man City lasted until the end of the first half.

In the second half, Man City still did not give their opponents a chance to develop their game. However, the hosts were once again deadlocked and were only able to add a goal through Phil Foden in the 64th minute.
Bournemouth were finally able to get close to the Man City goal and reduce the deficit in the 74th minute. Luis Fernando Sinisterra scored the visitors' goal which changed the score to 5-1.
Already far ahead, Man City is still not satisfied. Silva scored the second goal and made a brace in the 83rd minute. Five minutes later, Nathan Ake closed the home goal party. Final score 6-1 for Man City.
