Support Green Industry, Ministry Of Industry Has First Vocational Education Professor
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) has the first professor of vocational education in the field of Analytical Chemicals after Prof. Dr Askal Maimulyanti, M.Si was confirmed as a professor at the AKA Bogor Polytechnic.
In his inauguration scientific speech, Prof Askal took the title "Development of Green Extract-Based Separation Techniques using Natural Deep Eutectic Solvent (NADES)".
"Professional research in terms of green chemistry can support the development of green industry as one of the focuses of the Ministry of Industry related to decarbonization to achieve net zero emissions," said Minister of Industry (Menperin) Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita in a written statement received by VOI, Saturday, November 4.
Minister of Industry Agus said that the implementation of green chemistry can support the target set by the Ministry of Industry to achieve net zero emissions (NZE) in the industrial sector by 2050 or 10 years earlier than the national target by 2060.
Askal Maimulyanti is a scientist who graduated from Andalas University's undergraduate degree, Bandung Institute of Technology, and University of Indonesia's doctoral degree. He received cum laude predicates for all these educational degrees.
Askal himself has a career at the AKA Bogor Polytechnic and currently serves as Head of the Chemical Analyst Study Program. The functional position of Professor/Professor academic in the field of Chemical Analysts was obtained in 2023 from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology.
Prof Askal has made various achievements, including publishing 36 scientific publications, with 28 of them being international scientific publications. He has also published two books with the International Standard Series Number (ISSN) and two Intellectual Property Rights (HAKI).
Meanwhile, the Head of the Industrial Human Resources Development Agency (BPSDMI) of the Ministry of Industry Masrokhan expressed his appreciation for the inauguration of the first professor in the Ministry of Industry.

The AKA Bogor Polytechnic is one of the educational units of the Ministry of Industry. Currently, there are 11 Polytechnics, two (2) Community Academys, and nine Vocational Schools under the auspices of the Industrial Human Resources Development Agency (BPSDMI) of the Ministry of Industry.
These educational units support the provision of competent industrial human resources that can contribute to the development of the national industry.
