Thousands Of Palestinian Workers Returned From Israel To Gaza
JAKARTA - Thousands of Palestinian workers have returned to the Gaza Strip after being deported by Israeli authorities.
Israel's security cabinet approved their repatriation to Gaza, and announced the termination of their entire relationship with Gaza.
"Israel is cutting all ties with Gaza. There will be no more Palestinian workers from Gaza," he said in a statement after a security cabinet meeting reported by ANTARA from Anadolu, Friday, November 3.
A security source at a commercial crossing between Israel and the Gaza Strip, namely Karm Abu Salem - also known as Karem SALom, said the workers walked about 2 kilometers into Gaza after Israeli forces left them on the border.
The source, who did not want to be named, told Anadolu the Palestinian workers had arrived in Rafah City.

They have also, according to the source, received assistance from governments and aid agencies, especially as the Israeli government has confiscated all their money and cell phones.
On October 7, when the conflict broke out between Hamas and Israel, thousands of Palestinian workers from Gaza were still in Israel.
Israel has stepped up air and groundstrikes in the Gaza Strip, which have been bombarded relentlessly since Hamas attacked Israel suddenly on October 7.
Nearly 10,800 people died in the conflict, including at least 9,227 Palestinians and more than 1,538 Israelis.
