Many Village Fund Corruption Cases, Ministry Of Home Affairs Reminds Use For People Not Village Governments
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) firmly reminds that the use of village funds is entirely for the benefit of the community and not for the personal interests of village government structural devices (Pemdes).
The statement was made by the Head of the FPKD Sub-Directorate of the Directorate of Planning, Finance and Assets of the Ministry of Home Affairs Village Government, Ira Hayatunnisma, to more than 3,000 representatives of the village government in a socialization meeting regarding the priority details of using village funds in 2024 in Jakarta.
"Next year's village funds will increase, all of that for the community, please pay attention not to the personal funds of the village head or village apparatus," said Ira in a meeting reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, November 1.
Ira explained that the government has budgeted village funds for 2024 of IDR 71 trillion, consisting of IDR 68 trillion in regular village funds, IDR 1 trillion from central budgeting, and IDR 2 trillion in additional village funds allocated in the current year. The ceiling value of the village funds increased 1.42 percent compared to 2023.
The government targets as many as 75,259 villages in 434 regencies and cities throughout Indonesia as recipients of the village funds.
In the government planning, he said, the funds would be used for various priority purposes, including Village Direct Assistance (BLT Desa) for poor families and vulnerable to poverty in villages.
Then, handling stunting ( stunting), developing food security, developing village infrastructure, and empowering the village community.
Different from the distribution the previous year, he ensured that the Ministry of Home Affairs would carry out stricter supervision of the use of village funds together with the Ministry of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration, and the Ministry of Finance.

This is in line with the Minister of Home Affairs Regulation Number 20 of the HKPD Law and added with the latest Permendes regarding the priority details for the use of village funds which are currently being promulgated.
According to him, the essence of the basis for the regulation regulates that every activity has been given an account code ranging from the field to the details of the shopping object, and is supported by complete and legal expenditure evidence.
