Tesla Model 3 And Y Become Popular Vehicles For Transport Fleet In The United States

JAKARTA - In addition to being the world's best-selling electric vehicle brand, it turns out that Tesla is also the electric vehicle most interested in various fleets of public transportation companies, private sectors, and government agencies in the United States.

Quoted from the Teslarati page, Tuesday, October 31 according to new data from the S&P Global Mobility, Tesla vehicles cover nearly a third purchase of electric vehicle fleets over the past 13 months since July 2023.

Meanwhile, the best-selling ones are in Model 3 and Y, both for government agencies to private companies. Even the Model 3 was sold for up to 10 thousand units.

Tesla's surge in sales to this agency first occurred in 2021, when it started working with Hertz, a rental company that purchased 100,000 Tesla electric vehicles.

Tesla and Hertz also started additional partnerships with Uber, and the company added to the 25,000 ride-hailing platform fleet earlier this year.

On the other hand, the existing reports show that sales for fleet needs are often sporadic, and often coincide with certain purchasing cycles. As an example, the report notes that Tesla sold more than 13,500 units of Model 3 fleet needs in December 2022 and January 2023. This figure jumped to 4,300 units from the previous month.

The report also notes that the Bolt logo is also in demand, which includes 39 percent of electric vehicles for the government fleet, while other brands also take part in Ford EVs from the F-150 Lightning, E-Transit, and Mustang Mach-E.
