West Java - Bandung City Satpol PP takes firm action against buskers who impose coercion in the Jalan Braga area, Bandung City.
"We take firm action by (asking the person concerned) to make a statement, which when we make another act, we comply with the applicable regulations," said Head of Bandung City Satpol PP Rasdian Setiadi in Bandung City, West Java, Monday, October 30, confiscated by Antara.
Rasdian emphasized to the busker not to repeat his actions to visitors, especially in the Jalan Braga area.
"This statement letter is that he will not repeat it again. If we repeat it again, then we can impose an administrative fine and we will take him to the social service for further action," he said.
Rasdian stated that his party often received reports of buskers and beggars who carried out their actions accompanied by coercion in the Braga area.
According to him, Satpol PP personnel have also intensively monitored the location in order to anticipate this disturbing action.
"But if we have repeatedly been with the same person, we have the data, yes. The photo data has been archived in the field of enforcement. So, those who have done that can be fined or we are fined (criminal acts)," he said.

Furthermore, Radian said that the rules regarding disturbances to public order and peace of public protection have been regulated in Regional Regulation (Perda) Number 9 of 2019.
"Administrators must be in social order because Braga Street is prohibited from buskers, hawkers, and so on, it has been regulated by the Regional Regulation and can be subject to an administrative fine of Rp. 500,000," said Rasdian.
He appealed to buskers not to carry out their actions in areas that had been banned because they would disturb visitors in the area.
Previously, the act of busking with coercion was caught on camera and social media was widely discussed. The busker forced two visitors at a shop in the Jalan Braga area.
