Market 1,658 MSME Products, Medan City Government Launches Kedan Marketplace
The Medan City Government, North Sumatra, launched a marketplace or marketplace for the Medan electronic store (Kedan) to market 1,658 products for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). Later, state civil servants within the Medan City Government are required to use these MSME products.
"Kedan is a marketplace application for Medan City MSME players in marketing their products," said Medan Mayor Bobby Nasution in Medan, Friday.
The presence of this Kedan marketplace, he continued, is to support policies that require ASN within the Medan City Government to dress casually every Tuesday starting November 2023.
In addition, the needs imposed by ASN are also required to use MSME products, such as shoes and others obtained in the Kedan marketplace.
The Kedan marketplace will accommodate 1,010 MSMEs, including 207 MSMEs in the fashion sector, the rest culinary, basic commodities, craft products and others with a total market of 1,658 products.
"We want the first market product of MSME players to be ASN and at the same time support for realizing class MSMEs to be realized in Medan City," he said.
The mayor said there were several things to improve the Kedan marketplace so that its use was easy to understand, including the ordering and payment process.
"There may be some things that need to be rearranged, so that buyers and sellers also make it easier for each other," said Bobby.
The mayor also gave an example, which parts need to be minimized in this Kedan marketplace so that consumers use it more perfectly.
"Which one needs to be minimized, I think it's reduced. The point is that the functions, goals, objectives and achievements of this marketplace are not reduced," said Bobby.
