Not In Megadeth, David Ellefson: Finally Can Use Metallica T-shirts Again
JAKARTA - In an interview with Mike Nelson Show recently, former Megadeth bassist David Ellefson was asked about his latest social media post revealing that he was watching Metallica's concert in the M72 tour series.
"I almost wore my Metallica shirt today. The shirt is spinning all the way down 'You know the pile of black shirts we all have? Just turn down, and you look around the shirt.'Oh, there's a Metallica shirt. Maybe I should wear this one today'. I'm no longer in Megadeth. I can finally wear my Metallica shirt anymore," said Ellefson.
"Hey guys, I'm a Metallica fan," he continued. "I mean, talking about gold standards. That's the standard for metal. They keep doing impossible things. If you think about it in the tour business, there's Taylor Swift, there's Metallica, maybe Beyonce, Guns N 'Roses. And thank God, they are at the top."
"We need them to be at the top, because if they are at the top, that means all ships are up to that level. So we want Metallica to be Apple's computer; we need it for our genre."

Ellefson argues that the current Metallica concert is the best since the Black Album tour. According to him, the sound, game, and choice of songs are cool.
"I am proud of them, and I think it is very good that they are able to reach the level they are doing," he added.
"Achieving that level is one thing, but another thing is another thing. To maintain that level, what they have been able to do, and that's really amazing."
