The company claims that the factory has a production capacity of up to 300,000 vehicles per year and 200,000 knockdown parts, so it can produce 60 cars per hour.
Shawn Xu, President of PT Chery Sales Indonesia and Vice President of Chery International, said that this factory can produce large capacities thanks to the implementation of advanced and environmentally friendly AI technology.
"This is our step to realize Chery's vision as a vehicle manufacturer that works based on technological innovation, so that it can present advanced products with a sense of technology to consumers," said Shawn, in a statement received by VOI, Thursday, October 19.
The development of assembly production bases carries smart and interconnected technology, so that productivity and efficiency are high and operating costs are low but product quality is guaranteed.
Chery Intelligent Connected Mega Factory has an area of 830.000 m3 with a building area of 550.000 m3, with 164 work outlets, six advanced main production lines, five sub-akitan lines, and three high-precision inspection lines for the production of more than 10 models.
Overall, the main facilities include stamping workshops, welding workshops, painting workshops, public assembly workshops, modular workshops, machine workshops, transmission workshops, and relevant supporting facilities.

This factory employs more than 300 robots so that the work becomes efficient. For the assembly workshop, it has several advantages in production such as a short process and carries a smart system.
Factory performance is also increasingly sophisticated with the existence of a different surface display detection robot that works online and has an accuracy of up to 0.1mm.
